Is LipiFlow Dry Eyes Treatment Right For You?

Groundbreaking LipiFlow dry eyes treatment has helped many individuals find lasting relief. Made by TearScience®, the acknowledged standard for dry eyes relief, its effectiveness lies in addressing the cause rather than just symptoms like dry, itchy eyes, pain or sensitivity.

Identifying what causes dry eyes in your case is therefore, crucial to determining if LipiFlow Thermal Pulsation is right for you. It is also important to know that the LipiFlow® System is a prescription device.

This is your opportunity to reduce your dependence on eye drops, which provide only temporary respite, and experience the relief that LipiFlow brings. In a clinical study, 79% of patients reported improved overall dry eye symptoms (ranging from 10% to 100% improvement) within four weeks of a single treatment.

The first step towards relief with LipiFlow is LipiView.

LipiView – the Dry Eyes assessment

Dr. Adrian Long and his team will conduct a dry eyes assessment to determine if you are a candidate for this revolutionary treatment. This process is called Lipiview and uses new imaging technology to assess the make up of your tear fluid.

Using LipiView, Dr Long can determine the likely cause of your chronic dry eye symptoms and prescribe the LipiFlow treatment only if it has a high probability of working for you.  If you are suffering from Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) then you are an ideal candidate for LipiFlow and your days of suffering from dry eyes could soon be over.

We can help you determine if the LipiFlow treatment for dry eyes is right for you. Book a LipiView evaluation today.

  • Dr. Long will perform an evaluation to determine the likely cause of your dry eyes. A brief assessment or Dry Eye lifestyle questionnaire helps us determine how your eyes feel on a daily basis. It is imperative that you tell us if you have a history of eye allergies, eyelid inflammation, systemic disease that causes dry eye, or are taking medications known to cause dryness.
  • Dr. Long will then use the exclusive LipiView® Ocular Surface Interferometer to capture images of your tear film and determine the extent of your dry eye syndrome or disease.
  • This non-invasive process takes less than 5 minutes per eye and is similar to a comprehensive eye exam.
  • Based on the findings you can begin the LipiFlow dry eyes treatment which opens and clears blocked glands so that they can resume the natural production of lipids (oils) needed for the tear film.
